The inscription on the polished granite face reads, "Erected by the tenants on Bognie and Mountblairy in affectionate and respectful remembrance of Alexander Morison Esq, who was proprietor of these estates for thirty nine years. Born 20 January 1802. Died 1 February 1874." Taken and submitted with the kind permission of the proprietor.
