Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn 0-6-0T No. 7684 of 1951 in the livery of the Central Electricity authority, Midlands Division and carries 'No. 4'. The locomotive worked in the power stations at Nechells and is known colloquially as Nechells No. 4. Within little more than an hour the weather turned vile.
