This is considerably larger than most wall-mounted postboxes and dates from the reign of Queen Victoria, who died in 1901. It has been painted so many times that it is virtually impossible to read the manufacturer's name, which appears at the bottom of the box. It is located just north of the junction of Bath Road and The Hill Avenue. It's a pity it has been disfigured by senseless graffiti, but this will disappear when it is next repainted. Postbox number:- WR5 47 (according to official list, but WR5 47D according to plate). Post code:- WR5 2**. Last collection:- 9 a.m. Monday to Friday; 7 a.m. Saturday.
