The farm of Tifty is hidden by the tree at upper right. The Mill of Tifty, also hidden by trees, is the scene of the sad 17th century events related in a traditional ballad, "The Mill o Tifty's Annie". I'll spare you the full 48 verses, but there are umpteen versions of it on various web sites - just search for it by title.
