Rothersthorpe: The Chequers

Image: © Nigel Cox Taken: 22 Feb 2015

According to Wikipedia The Chequers closed for business in 2011. Comparing this photograph with the one from 2010 Image it is evident that the signs on the front have gone but the Pubmaster sign on the flank wall remains. The building is unusually built of brick when most of the older properties in the village are constructed of the local stone, such as the building just glimpsed on the right.
