Old ruined walls by the Tayfield Burn between High Road, above, and Boat Road, standing by. There is a mill dam on the 1855 map at the position currently shown for the subject so there must have been a mill of some sort below it at some time. The 1914 1:2500 Ordnance Survey labels the building as a Smithy, so it is likely to have been a water-driven trip-hammer rather than a grinding mill.
