At the very top, framed by trees is the church of St Nicholas with its squat tower, in a field below is a round straw bale, a cow, tractor and an owl sitting on the gate representing the rural nature of the village. The spandrels are also part of the sign with one containing a dove with an oak leaf and in the other a pair of frogs in a pond. All can be found in the parish.
