The river is on the right. On the left, a lock gives access for boats to the Forth and Clyde Canal. Here, the canal runs through the newly created Helix Park leisure facility. Just through the lock is a lagoon lined with landing stages permitting moorings for visitors wishing to pause to look at The Kelpies - two large horse head sculptures which are a feature of the park.
