Sandygate Canal Bridge was built ca1796-1802 for the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Company. It is Grade II-listed by English Heritage (English Heritage Building ID: 467209 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-467209-sandygate-canal-bridge-lancashire British Listed Buildings)
