Viewed across the A48 St Teilo Street. Its website states that the Presbyterian Church of Wales is one of the largest Christian denominations in Wales, with c24,000 members and 620 churches. Also known as the Calvinistic Methodist Church and The Connexion, the Presbyterian Church of Wales was born out of the Methodist revival of the 18th century. It dates its origin to 1811, the year of separation from the Church of England and the ordination of its first ministers in Bala and Llandeilo. Around two-thirds of its churches worship and work through the medium of Welsh. The central administration is run bilingually.
