The Miners Memorial Statue

This bronze sculpture is situated on the site of the old railway station. It was officially unveiled in 1998 to mark the one hundredth anniversary of the Whitwick Colliery Disaster, in which thirty five men and boys lost their lives. The statue was sculpted by Judith Holmes Drewry.
