The sign reads, "White bread, rice, chips and other human food do not provide proper nutrition and can lead to vitamin deficiencies and illnesses for the birds. Natural food from the loch can be supplemented with a few handfuls of grain or one or two slices of wholemeal bread. Grain is available from pet shops. Left-over food attracts rats and can cause an excessive growth of algae". Obviously the sign has little or no effect, because just a few yards away is a small crowd of people feeding the birds, mostly with white bread.
