This end of the loch is popular with waterfowl. Most of the black and white ones are Tufted Duck, but there are also Coot, Goosanders, Pochard, Goldeneye and a Smew, and a local wildlife photographer showed me some shots he had just taken of a Water Rail in the reeds. Also nearby were Cormorant, Moorhen, and Black-headed Gulls, but I missed two raptors that had just flown by.
