This Edward VIII-reign postbox stands outside the Golden Lion pub and would have been moved here from the nearby Morn Hill Post Office when it closed down in 2003. As he reigned for less than a year and abdicated in frowned-upon circumstances, boxes bearing the cipher of Edward VIII are few and far between. There are perhaps just over 100 in present-day use.
