Viewed across Cwmdare Road. In August 2013, The College Ystrad Mynach and Coleg Morgannwg merged to become Coleg y Cymoedd (College of the Valleys). The College Ystrad Mynach served Caerphilly County Borough with sites in Abertridwr, Bargoed, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Rhymney and Ystrad Mynach. Coleg Morgannwg served the Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough with this site in Aberdare and sites in Nantgarw and the Rhondda. The merger has created one of the largest further education providers in Wales with more than 1,000 members of staff and c20,000 students.
