The gasholders of the former Liverpool Street Gasworks made famous in Ewan McColl's "Dirty Old Town" ("I found my love by the gasworks croft/Dreamed a dream by the old canal…" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baFIaOGkN90 ) towering above the local houses.
