This moving war memorial near the Holloway Road entrance to Whittington Park is to the 21 men from Cromwell Road "who gave their lives for freedom and honour in the Great War 1914-18." There are many plaques around the Borough as part of ‘The Streets They Left Behind' project, undertaken by Islington Heritage Service.
