An unidentified class 47 locomotive brings a freight northeast along the Birmingham to Derby main line which neatly bisects the towns of Barton-under-Needwood and Walton-upon-Trent at this point. The view is taken from the B5016, Station Lane and shows the open farmland before the construction of Barton Business Park and the Bombardier Transportation Depot.
