The Grade I-listed road bridge over the River Witham bearing shops and houses. It is of C12th origin with C13th and C16th additions and was restored and partly reconstructed 1902 by William Watkins of Lincoln. A woman wearing a red coat is seen appearing at the top of one of the two narrow sets of steps that serve pedestrians ascending from or descending to from the riverside paths. The two riverside paths are situated approximately 2.5 metres (8ft) below street level.
