This is one of the University of Lincoln's libraries in 'The Great Central Warehouse' (a.k.a. the GCW building), a former industrial railway goods warehouse. It was built in 1907 for the Great Central Railway and it spent the second half of the C20th as a builder's warehouse before falling into disrepair prior to 1998. It was converted into a library to a design of the University's in-house team of architects and was formally opened in 2004. The modern building on its left is the Enterprise Building. The latter is home to the Careers and Employability Service and home to our business incubation unit, Sparkhouse Studios, where entrepreneurial students are able to access expertise and resources to support the development of a fledgling business.
