Former Phones 4u shop in Newport city centre

On January 22nd 2015, the Phones 4u name remains on the shop on the corner of Commercial Street and Stow Hill, though the business has ceased trading. A notice on the window shows STORE CLOSED. The Management and Staff thank you for your custom. An email address and a phone number are shown for any queries. After giving administration details, the notice ends with "This property is protected by a smoke cloak". In September 2014, after EE, Vodafone, Orange and O2, the company's last remaining suppliers, ended their contracts, it was announced that Phones 4U was to enter administration.
