Viewed in early January 2015. Borneo Ba recently opened in this 4-storey building at 78 Commercial Street. A Google Earth Street View five months earlier shows Bali Thai restaurant & takeaway here. Borneo Ba specialises in authentic Indonesian street food prepared on a charcoal grill. I looked at Kelly's Directory of Monmouthshire 1901 edition to see if it shed any light on the reason for the existence of this 4-storey building among 3-storey neighbours. The entry for 78 Commercial Street showed "beer retailer" which seems to be the phrase used to denote a public house, a term not used.
