Looking through a hole in the roof to the intact pews. The chapel is set into the hillside and the rear of the roof is level with road climbing up to Cregennen Lakes. See SH6414 : Derelict chapel at Arthog for a view of the front of the chapel. Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1833 and rebuilt in 1868 in the Gothic syle of the gable-entry type, by architect Thomas Thomas of Landore.
