Fountain Alexandria

The fountain in Alexandria was built as a memorial to Alexander Smollett MP for Dumbarton from 1841-59 and a “kind and just landlord” was designed by Architects Adamson & McLeod in 1870 now B Listed. To the left is Bank street which runs down to Bonhill Bridge and on the right Main Street Alexandria
