This is the SE (St Thomas Green) side of the church. A notice on the door on the right shows that the main church and hall entrance is from Hill Street. The upper inscription shows ALBANY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH FOUNDED 1638. This refers to the church as a body of worshippers. The lower inscription records that the building dates from the 1830s with later restorations and alterations.
