The sign has a semi-circular top and in the border are ears of wheat and a cock pheasant and in the centre is a likeness of All Saints church flanked by a cricketer who has just been bowled out on the left, and a farmer gathering the corn harvest on the right symbolic of the parish’s agricultural heritage . Below is divided into three frames; the first shows the old bridge, close to this sign, but now modified and strengthened. In the centre is a tractor and plough reflecting modern farming methods, and the third depicts the local pub the Stansfield Compasses. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6782090
