This filled in section of the former Nottingham Canal has a path along either side: a footpath on the west side, and a bridleway on the east. This proved useful on this day, as it meant I could choose the less muddy of the paths. On the right, next to the footpath signs, is one of several information boards along the former canal that provides information about the canal's history, and about the wildlife one can expect to see locally.
