This bridge, which has apparently recently been renewed or rebuilt, carries the A609 Nottingham Road across the derelict Nottingham Canal on the eastern edge of Trowell. On the far side of the bridge, a filled in section of the canal begins. Just before I reached this point, a woman passed me on horseback; I presume she dismounted, and the horse ducked, to pass beneath the bridge.
