The event field for the 53rd running of the Yorkshire Three Peaks Race viewed from the lane to Newhouses and High Birkwith. The race involves running 24 miles over Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, and the record is an amazing 2 hours 46.03 mins. The tree line in the centre of the photo indicates the course of the River Ribble.
