St Nicholas of Myra represents Bradwell Parish Church, which is dedicated to St Nicholas of Myra, below is his emblem, three bags of gold. The windmill was one of two in the parish, the other being a post-mill. The man behind the horse is representative of the agricultural heritage of the parish. The Rising Sun not only represents the Sunrise coast but perhaps also The Rising Sun Inn. A river is non existent in Bradwell and probably represents the sea, about a mile away. Frequent overpainting has unfortunately spoiled some of the detail. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6743917
