The Coast Path is seen here at a point where it changes from a concrete path to a boardwalk. It alternates between these two types of surface several times in its passage above Rest Bay and Pink Bay. The path here passes alongside a fence at the western boundary of the Royal Porthcawl golf course. A small part of the course is seen on the far side of the fence.
