These two electric buses arrived at South Croydon Garage, (Arriva), recently. After a few days they went into service on Route 312, (South Croydon Garage to Norwood Junction). According to a driver I spoke to, they are fully electric vehicles, operated by battery, and capable of some 3-4 round trips before needing to be re-charged. A ride on one of them was a pleasant experience, with no more noise than a trolleybus, and smooth jerk-free acceleration.
