This Lune Valley Oak seat faces a little south of west, so on sunny days it provides a lovely warm and sheltered spot to have a rest. It is nearly opposite the Pen-y-ghent Cafe, and has a backdrop of Pen-y-ghent itself. The road in front is the B6479, which runs through the village carrying heavy quarry and other traffic. The seat bears a plate with the inscription: "This seat was given to the village of Horton in Ribblesdale in memory of Trevor Rambadt President of Burnley Caving Club Died August 1975"
