Lychgate and Double Stile at St Oswalds

The old lychgate and interesting double stile, at St Oswalds churchyard, Horton in Ribblesdale, lead straight out on to the busy B6479, and to the Golden Lion across the road. The roof of the lychgate is made out of huge slabs of stone. Info from Mr Red: "The local explanation (in Gloucestershire) for twin squeeze stiles is so pall-bearers can pass without setting down the coffin."
