Seen from Rutland Gate, the tower forms part of the Knightsbridge Barracks (Hyde Park Barracks); home of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, which is horsed and carries out mounted (and some dismounted) ceremonial duties on State and Royal occasions in London.
