The light field gun, which was capable of firing 40lb shells up to 7,600 yards, was first heaved up to the prominent Twyn y Garth site in 1920. The weathered gun has now been renovated by Painscastle Community Council, through funding from Powys County Council, and will now be able to withstand the elements on the hill for another 100 years
