The village school with houses in Belfield's Yard behind. Known as "The Old Schoolroom", the hall was built in 1911-12 and closed in the 1960s. A private Junior school, "Edgehill School", took over the building and extended it northwards with a series of temporary buildings however, it closed in 1996. The building is now the village hall.
