Unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles, Poples Bow is a lane on the north side of the A38 Bristol Road. The 40mph speed limit along the wide A38 increases to the National Speed Limit on the narrow lane ahead, which for many vehicles is 60mph. The modern concept of "joined-up thinking" seems to be absent with regard to British road speed limit policy...
