Hoylake Lifeboat Station

There has been a lifeboat at Hoylake since 1803 but this state-of-the-art boathouse was built in 2008, replacing the previous building a little further west. A feature of the operation here is that due to the flat beach the lifeboat is moved into the water using a carriage propelled by the tractor seen here. Members of the public were being invited to have a look around and there is a small shop inside.
