Hidden in the undergrowth this historic site is known to few locals. The advantage is to the wildlife that enjoy the solitude. We spotted moorhens on the few bits of the moat that could be seen. The moated site dates back to at least the 14th century. http://pastscape.org/hob.aspx?hob_id=113635&sort=2&type=&rational=a&class1=None&period=None&county=None&district=None&parish=None&place=malvern%20hills&recordsperpage=60&source=text&rtype=&rnumber=&p=16&move=p&nor=1486&recfc=1000
