View westwards, towards Bradford, Halifax and Manchester by the ex-L&Y lines, also Leeds by ex-GNR via Wakefield Westgate. Yet another of the countless ex-WD 2-8-0s, No. 90076, runs through tender-first on empties to the collieries, while at the Up main platform is BR Standard Britannia Class 7MT 4-6-2 No. 70044 'Earl Haig' (built 6/53, withdrawn 10/66 - three months after this and it had already lost its name-plates).
