The park was given a makeover in 2014, including new paths and benches, and a circular mosaic created by local people. The background scene has also changed. Behind the trees is the new War Memorial Hospital, which opened in June 2014. It replaced an old hospital on the same site, as seen in this photo taken in 2012 Image .
