Mellor's archaeological garden, the site of an Iron Age Fort is next to the parish church. This “two faced” sculpture, entitled BC-AD, was carved in 2010 by Christopher Rose-Innes http://stockportartguild.com/christopher-rose-innes/. This side shows the face of an early Briton whilst the reverse shows that of a Roman Centurion (Image]).
