Taken from Assarts Lane, looking up towards Black Hill (scarred by its disused quarry) and Pinnacle Hill. this land was once in the rural parish of Little Malvern (the hedge on the right being the boundary), but was transferred to Malvern Wells at the end of the 19th century to allow gas to be laid down the road (to the left of the picture) to Upper Welland.
