Dated to the 1760s, the actual date being no longer legible. The milestone has inscriptions on three sides, partly visible in this view, but in the available light not readable. Listed Grade II, according to the listing description, the inscriptions are: Front inscribed "Coach Road to Worksop Manor House 7 miles 3 qrs 176?". The left/west side inscribed "From London 142 miles and a half". The right side inscribed "The keys at the Jockey House". There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4243555 at the base of the front face, visible in the linked image only following some 'gardening'.
