Plaques commemorating Peter Leslie and David Page, both born in Lochgelly in the 19thC. Peter Leslie [1819-1905] was 'Pindar', a Soldier Poet, author of 'Autobiography of a private soldier', 'Random Rhymes' and other verse. http://www.fife.50megs.com/poet-of-lochgelly.htm David Page [1814-1879] was a geologist, author of many books on the subject, and President of the Geological Society 1863-5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Page_%28geologist%29 The plaques are by the entrance to the old drill hall in Lochgelly Image
