The Windmill Inn and to the right of it Meadow Lane. The southern end of the latter leads - after a 10 minute drive - to the small village of Stanford on Soar, Notts. The pub dates from "way before 1600" and as such lays claim to being the oldest inn in Loughborough. The parish church is situated almost immediately to its left.
