It's many years since the pub with the grey roof in the centre of this image was called the Banner Cross (it's now the Hop 'n Grapes Image]), but the cottages on this side of it are still mapped as Banner Cross Cottages, and the flight of steps from which this view was taken are still called Banner Cross Steps - see Image
