St Patrick's CoI Parish Church was built in 1893 replacing a church on the same site known as Christ Church which dated back to 1827. St Patrick's was badly damaged in WWII, being bombed by the Luftwaffe on two separate occasions in 1941. After the war it was decided to rebuild the church using the original plans. The link shows an image of the interior of the church after the air raid.
