Bridge that carries the lane leading to Spellow Farm over the rail line to Grantham. The right hand arch also had Rail lines under them in the past, originally a two track line that led to the south of Bingham and toward Melton Mowbray. In later years there was a single line which was composed of experimental sections of track to test ideas that could have been used in the cross channel rail link. All rail traffic from Grantham to Nottingham used this track for a number of years to test its effectiveness. The rail traffic returned to the right hand line pictured, in the late 1980's after it was relayed and the test track was largely abandoned, although some sections were removed and analysed for structural dependency.
